The Western Classic Working Party has just received notification from Dogs Australia (DA) of approval for Mr Kai (Alvin) Zhang (China) to replace Mr George Schogol (Georgia) to judge at the Western Classic Championship Show to be held 27 February to 1 March 2026.

The Working Party is pleased to announce the Mr. Kai (Alvin) Zhang (China) will replace Mr George Schogol (Georgia) and he will assume all judging assignments originally allocated to Mr George Schogol, except General Specials Judging on Saturday 28th February 2026. General Specials will now move to Ms Tracie AUSTIN (South Africa).

This will be Mr. Kai (Alvin) Zhang (China) first judging appointment in Australia and he is very excited to judge in Perth.

The Working Party apologises again for any inconvenience this change of Judge may have caused our members, and the Working Party appreciates Member's understanding in the circumstances relating to this sudden change of judge. 

The Working Party look forward to welcoming Mr. Kai (Alvin) Zhang and all members to the Western Classic for 2026.

Mr Ivan Carey is no longer available to judge.

Our replacement Judge is Ms Hui-Chen LU (Taiwan). She will replace all judging that was originally assigned to Mr Cary including specialty shows.
