Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Australia
Did you know that every day in Australia 2 people are diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease (MND)? And sadly there is currently no cure for it.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a term used to describe a group of diseases that affect nerve cells called 'motor neurons'.
Motor neurons carry messages from the brain to the muscles via the spinal cord. These messages allow us to make movements like walking, swallowing, talking and breathing.
In motor neurone disease, the nerves become damaged and start to die. When this happens, muscles start to weaken and waste away.
So what can we do to help?
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of WA will be fundraising on Sunday 10th November 2024 at our club Championship show by selling the newly designed Cornflower Pin and the two sweet plush puppies named Hope & Hero. The cost for these items is $10 each.
Alternatively, if you wish to make a small donation, a collection tin will be at the Sales tent on the day.
