The training day will include activities, such as:

ü  obedience – heeling, recall, steadiness and the use of the whistle

ü  mark selection

ü  marking concepts

ü  handling, stopping and steadiness

ü  effective use of the starting pegs, how to set up your dog for success

ü  opportunity to ask questions & strategies to help with your current training issues and concerns

Handlers can choose which activities they would like to focus on, followed by a mock RATG with water and terrain options.

Many of the trainers are RATG and Retrieving Judges and will also address what Judges are looking for when setting up and scoring a run. Safe operation of throwers will also be addressed on the day.
