Albury and Border Kennel Club course update

Hi Everyone, 

Given the current covid situation and the extension of the regional NSW lockdown the committee has at this stage decided to push back the commencement of the September course to the first week in October.

We have made this decision based on the fact we had only just started the August course before being put into lockdown and we would like to finish that course before commencing the next one. Additionally some of our instructors are based in Victoria making finding enough instructors at this time difficult.

Your patience is greatly appreciated. If this needs to be changed again we will keep you up to date. Should this  change make it difficult for you to attend please let me know and if you have paid online we can arrange for a refund.

Changes to start date

Hi,

Thankyou for your patience. Due to the time in lockdown, small instructors pool, and a cap of 50 people on the grounds we have needed to push back the start date of this course to Tuesday 19th of October.

if this is no longer suitable please let me know.

Otherwise, at this stage (covid restrictions may change this) we will commence at 7pm on the 19th in the clubroom for the info session followed by 6 weeks of practical learning on the grounds.

New Covid Restrictions

Hi All,

Recent covid restriction changes have resulted in some changes to the numbers of people we can have on the ground.

At this stage we are limited to 20 vaccinated persons on our grounds. We have made the decision to push the start of this class back to the 2nd of November. I hope that this is the last time for that!

At this stage we will require anyone attending our grounds to be fully vaccinated, unless they have a medical exception.

If the new date no longer suits or, if you won't meet the vaccination status by the 2nd of November, please let me know and we can look at adding you to the next class, which will most likely be February.

Apologies for the changes again, but I can see a light at the end of the covid tunnel!

ABKC beginners course-Get ready to train!!

Hi Everyone, 

We are able to run the beginners course tomorrow (finally!!)

The lecture starts at 7pm, please come a little earlier to sort out paperwork. We will collect it at the end of the lecture.

We are holding the lecture outside under the shade of our trees but feel free to bring along any additional sun protection and mozzie spray.

We must abide by covid 19 public health orders, which at this stage means you are only able to attend if you have been double jabbed or have a medical exception and be willing to share this info with us tomorrow.

Masks aren't required outside but completely up to you if you want to wear one.

Please bring along the following

- your dogs current vaccination certificate

- humans proof of double covid vaccination/medical exception. 

- $100 course fee in cash (we don't have eftpos) if you haven't already paid. We will have a list of those who have paid so no need to bring along your receipt.

- dog related documentation attached to the original activity, we will have extras available for those who couldn't download/print it.

we do recommend that you make this a dog free night as we are going to be seated for up to an hour which may result in some dogs getting restless and bored.
