Dogs Sport Presentation Night NEW DATE

Dog Sport Presentations deferred due to Covid

In view of escalating outbreaks of Covid and the risk of spreading to others at a crowded indoor event, a decision has been taken to postpone the Dog Sport Presentation night (originally scheduled for January 15) for at least one month.
The event will go ahead at a later date to be notified.
As the 2022 Dog Sport calendar is heavily committed, the new date may be a Friday evening.

Reminder: Presentation Night Postponed

In case anyone missed the announcements and previous message, the Dog Sport Presentation Night originally scheduled for tomorrow night Jan 15 has been postponed to Feb 25 due to Covid.

New time for awards event - Sunday Feb 20 11:00am

The time of the Dog Sport Awards event has been changed again in consideration of the difficulty of getting to Durack in peak traffic on a Friday evening. The event will now be a Sunday luncheon. The new date (Covid permitting) is Sunday February 20 at 11:00.

Please notify of the club/table you wish to sit with at the event if you have not yet done so. Email to cynthiaf@bigpond.net.au

Info about Dog Sport Presentation Lunch Feb 20

The doors will open at 11:00. Entry will be only via the back veranda facing the conformation rings - the stairs up from parking in front of the building are closed for repairs.

Please arrive promptly at 11:00, ready to decorate your Club table for judging. The lunch service will begin at 11:30 and presentations will begin at 12:30. With 100 people to feed in an hour, we'll have to hustle.

Presentations will be live streamed via Zoom so that Northern clubs can participate.

We will be selling additional raffle tickets on the day for $5 each with winners drawn on the day.

And the usual caveat - if you are feeling ill on the day, please stay home.

See you soon for a celebration of outstanding individual and club achievements.

Entry on Sunday for Dog Sports Presentation

Sorry for these notices, there has been a slight confusion regarding the Entry for the Lunch on Sunday for the Dog Sports Presentation. 

Please note that there is currently earthworks around the building at Dogs Qld.

     Entry will only be via the carpark near the DQ office entry.

Please take the stairs up to the function room.  All other doors are closed and not accessible.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday 11.00am Sharp to commence lunch at 11.15 - 11.30am.  If you are dressing up your table, please arrive 5-10 minutes earlier.

Presentations will commence at 12.30pm and we will have a live hook up with our Northern Clubs so they can participate in the presentations.

THIS EVENT WILL NO LONGER BE HELD ON JANUARY 15 DUE TO COVID. IT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED (AGAIN) TO SUNDAY FEBRUARY 20 at 11:00am.

The State Trials Sub-committee brings you our Annual Dog Sport Presentations event. Championship trophies will be given covering the disciplines of Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Lure Coursing, Track & Search, Agility, Herding, Dances with Dogs Freestyle and Heelwork to Music earned in both 2020 and 2021 (because we did not hold a presentation function last year due to Covid).

There are also highest scoring dog awards, highest scoring club awards, and a prize for the Best Dressed Club Table.

Catering rules have been changed so this year we will have a lovely two course buffet dinner catered by Wagz Cafe. $25 per person, drinks additional. No BYO permitted. 

There will be a raffle of dog supplies and accessories to fund the work of the State Trials Sub-Committee. $5 per ticket, purchase online or at the event.

After you add yourself (and any guests) to the attendees list, please scroll down the page to select and pay for your meal(s). You may also choose to buy raffle tickets online if you wish. SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM UNDER "OPTIONAL ORDER NOTES" AND WRITE IN THE NAME OF THE CLUB YOU WILL BE SITTING WITH, then proceed to checkout.
